From the first interview I had with Mr. Zullo, it showed me
how hard work and determination can help you to achieve anything. My first
interview showed me that it is not really what you know from the start, but how
much you learn on the way. When I went back
to interview Mr. Zullo again, I asked him the following questions.
These questions were inspired by assignments we have had in
this class and I wanted to know some of the answers to them from someone who
has been through an entrepreneurial experience.
Question 1: In the next five or 10 years
where do you see yourself and your business?
In the next 5-10 years I see myself running
American Retrofits and at least one other company. I see myself implementing
what I have learned with this business into new ventures while still
maintaining this business.
Question 2: If the opportunity arose to where you were given the
option to sell your business for enough money to keep you financially stable
for the remainder of your life, would you accept the offer?
Yes I would accept the
offer because I would be set for life and I would obviously just start another
business
Question 3: The day you started your business would you have
expected to be where you are today? Or did you expect to be less or more
successful than you currently are
3. The day I started I didn't exactly envision all of this in just
one day. The first day I started this business I started learning from every
experience. It's like a science experiment a lot of things will happen good and
bad and it's all about how you react to them. After I had a couple customers I
already knew I loved what I was doing and I knew I could keep doing it because
how large the market was and still is. I basically just mapped out steps and
did one after the other to make sure that I got to where I am now. So if you
asked me if I knew whether or not I would have gotten to this place I would
tell you I knew the whole timeMy business would succeed at a great level but I
would also say that actions speak louder than words. Just saying that I could
sit and talk about where I think I'm gonna be in 5 years. Or I could start
working hard everyday and get there.
Hi Zack!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed how you tooks key ideas and aspects we have learned from the course and used them as your questions! I took a more personal route with my questions because I view a venture as something that reflects into peoples personal lives as well! Great job!

Great post, Zachary. I really liked how everything came full circle with regard to the themes of your interviews. It’s great that you were able to apply lessons learned from these assignments to your interview and learn more based on the feedback received. It seems that you took this interview and this class seriously.
